Spokane Man Hospitalized After Violent Arrest (October 2024)

A Spokane man, identified as Marcus Henderson, 34, remains hospitalized after a violent encounter with Spokane Police Department (SPD) officers on the evening of October 26th, sparking outrage and calls for a thorough investigation from community activists and local residents.

According to eyewitness accounts and video footage circulating on social media, the incident began when officers responded to a call reporting a disturbance neara local convenience store. Witnesses report that when Henderson attempted to leave the scene, multiple officers tackled him to the ground with what many described as excessive force.
